2. About Our Inspections
CHECKD provides independent pre-purchase vehicle inspections to help customers make a more informed decision before purchasing a used vehicle.
Our assessment reflects the condition of the vehicle at the time and date of inspection only.
The inspection is non-invasive and does not involve dismantling the vehicle or its components.
3. Vehicle Inspection Disclaimer
A CHECKD inspection is not a warranty or guarantee that a vehicle is fault-free or that faults will not develop after the inspection.
Although reasonable care and skill will be used when carrying out the inspection, some defects may be hidden, intermittent, internal or otherwise not reasonably detectable during a non-invasive inspection.
The inspection report should therefore be considered an assessment of the vehicle's observable condition at the time of inspection.
4. After You Purchase the Vehicle
The final decision to purchase a vehicle remains with the customer.
CHECKD does not guarantee the future condition, performance, reliability or lifespan of any vehicle inspected.
CHECKD will not be responsible for a fault or mechanical failure occurring after the inspection where that fault was not reasonably identifiable during the inspection.
For example, a vehicle passing an inspection does not mean that an engine, gearbox, electrical component or other part cannot subsequently develop a fault.
5. Inspection Limitations
Depending on the vehicle and circumstances, an inspection may not identify:
- Internal engine or gearbox defects that cannot be detected without dismantling
- Intermittent electrical or mechanical faults
- Faults that have temporarily cleared or do not present during the inspection
- Problems deliberately concealed by a seller
- Future component failure or normal wear after inspection
- Areas that cannot reasonably or safely be accessed
- Defects requiring specialist equipment or dismantling to diagnose
6. Vehicle History
Unless specifically included within the service purchased, CHECKD does not guarantee a vehicle's mileage, previous accident history, finance status, theft status or other historical information.
Customers should ensure that appropriate vehicle-history and documentation checks are completed before purchasing a vehicle.
7. Inspection Report
Any report, photographs, diagnostic information or recommendations supplied by CHECKD relate to the vehicle at the time it was inspected.
The report is intended to assist the customer with their purchasing decision and should not be interpreted as certification that the vehicle is completely free from defects.
8. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for considering the inspection findings and deciding whether to proceed with the purchase.
Where CHECKD identifies an issue or recommends further investigation, the customer should obtain appropriate specialist advice or repairs before purchasing or using the vehicle.
9. Limitation of Liability
CHECKD will exercise reasonable care and skill when providing its inspection services.
However, CHECKD cannot be held responsible for defects that could not reasonably have been identified during the agreed inspection or for faults that develop after the inspection.
Nothing within this notice excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful or affects a customer's statutory rights.
10. No Connection With the Seller
CHECKD operates as an independent vehicle inspection service.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, CHECKD has no affiliation with the vehicle seller, dealership or manufacturer and does not receive commission based on whether a customer purchases a vehicle.
